    3. I have a Charles Griffith from Butler county OH that marries first Martha Songer in Rush county IN and they died in Jasper county ILL. His second wife was Mrs. Elizabeth Chambers. Do not know her maiden name, may have been Gosnell. Charles was the son of John Griffith (c. 1787 PA ?) m. 1807 to Mary Ruby Willey of the Shaw lineage. Any chance your ILL Griffiths were related ? 3. Emily: I have both a Charles Goering Griffith (my uncle) born in Illinois 1917, d:1985 Texas. Also have a John Griffiths born in Pa.b: 1882 Reilly Twnsp.Schuylkill Co.,Pa. m: Jane Crossman b:1884 Pa. John is the son of Alexander Griffiths and Sarah Miles. Alexander born in Mar 1835 Blantyre,Larnark, Scotland. Sarah Miles born someplace in Wales. So far in my research Alexander's descendants remained in Pa. they had 9 children. My own g.grandparents migrated 1878 into Ill. They had 7 living children but so far have discovered only one daughter remained in Pa. was married to Isaac Ball and lived in Mahanoy City, Pa. Alexander was still living with his son John in 1910, was an invalid (probably suffered from black lung decease as did my g.grandfather). I haven't found Alexander's death date. John and Jane had 7 children and so far have only found them in Schuylkill Co., Pa. >My g grandparents lived in Henry Co., Il. while my grandparents lived in Bureau Co., Il. as well and later LaSalle Co.,Il. I myself was born in Peru, Il. I am having a difficult time trying to keep all the descendants in order. However if I can be of any help....just let me know....I am knee deep in paper work as usual trying to get organized...with some difficulty I might add. Norma E.
