My work w/the surname holds a bit of a skeleton in the closet...it starts w/my children's paternal grandmother, Dorothea Katherine who I was told by family story is a GRIFFITH although she was never claimed and her mother's last words were a denial to the request to name her father. Dorothea's mother's name was Inez Lillian Van Ness, b. 27 Nov 1883 in Seneca Falls, NY and d. 23 sep 1956 in Dayt Bch., FL. Dorothea was born in NJ on 4 mar 1906 and d. jun 1997 in Dayt Bch., FL. If I could ever solve this I know she would rest in peace. Love to share info w/anyone anytime!-Naomi
