Am looking for any info on Evan Griffith b abt 1793 NC and/or his wife, Elizabeth (maiden name unknown), b abt 1792 NC. They had children, Catherine b 1821 NC, John M. b 1827 NC, Daniel b 1833 TN, Amos b 1836 TN. This info is from the Titus County, TX 1850 census. At this time Catherine was married to John Hamilton, may have married in TN before coming to TX; John M. was married to Rachel (maiden name unknown) b 1833 TN and they had daughter, Margaret 11 mos old in 1850. Rachel's last name might have been D'Spain. There were two people, David D'Spain age 19 and Hetty D'Spain age 10 living with her and John M at that time. Might have been her bro/sis. Evan and Elizabeth were my 4th ggrandparents. Any info on this family would be appreciated. Jackie Ford
