Frances, "STB " stands for 'said to be'.----Word of mouth but no documentation-(other than his marked- tombstone which is located in a church yard about 1/3 mile walking distance from the land of the original GRIFFITH farm, where Jonathan Griffith (Jr) is buried))-like so much of this genealogy stuff,STB--- There is a big GRIFFITH clan---over in the east TN area.So many of the lineage names there are similar, but I haven't found the correct connection point yet. I responded to a query from them about 2 yrs ago, they mentioned a "Peyton" GRIFFITH and an "Amos" GRIFFITH--both given names in my line.Can't recall which county that they were in,but I can look through my records and see if I can locate it.
