I have a James Griffith, from Cape Cod, Mass., who married Mercy Nickerson, ca. 1704. They had a daughter Mercy in 1705. "The Descendants of William Nickerson", Part I, pg. 30, says that this family went to the vicinity of Smyrna (Duck Creek) Delaware ca.. 1711 (Ref. Joseph Paine papers, New England Historic Genealogical Society, Boston). Don't know if this would be near Dorchester Co., MD or not.
