    3. Mott: There are a couple of Susanna Griffiths in my genealogy but no Richardson's that I know of. There is a g Aunt named Susanna Griffiths b: 30 Apr 1837 Old Monkland,Lanark, Scotland. (St.Quivox Parish). Immigrated with her parents and sister and brothers ca.1840. M: Daniel Hoffman, last seen on census of 1880 Porter, Schuylkill Co. I have my g grandfather's history, and his brother Alexander's info. Alexander also had a daughter named Susanna b:Sep 1875 Schuylkill Co. m: Charles Gerly b: Aug 1868. As yet unfortunately I haven't found the other brothers. If you want their names let me know I do have them from church records. The Griffiths settled in Tremont, Pa., and later migrated to Reilly Township, Schuylkill Co. It appears the men all became miners. My g grandfather William Anderson Griffiths left Pa. and migrated to Illinois where he dropped the 's' from his name. Since then our side of the family has always spelled the name without the 's' while the Pa. clan retained the original spelling. Will be willing to help any way I can. Norma E. 3. Worked yesterday on my father's farm raising walls for a 30x50 building. My 2 brothers and my husband are constructing it and several of the younger relatives are helping. Last weekend we poured the concrete floor and since I'm the only girl in the family, I was right in the middle of the action. Can't let my Dad think I'm any less of a worker than my brothers! LOL! I couldn't help but reflect on how our ancestors would have worked together in the same way. It seems to make them more real to me. My parents live next to I-75 and across the expressway is my great-great grandfather's farm (John W. Griffith). Of course the farm is no longer there, it's full of restaurants, gas stations and hotels. My great-grandfather, Charles Logan Griffith, had a Merchantile store across from the train depot there in Richwood. It's kinda neat to think that their spirits are standing there with us helping to hold the framed walls up until someone can drive the nails to hold the walls sections together. ******** Descendants of John W.
