Joanna, When years ago when I started on my Griffith's, I was taken to the Big Genealogy Library here in Houston and a friend told me that the man that founded it, his Griffith's were from the Virginia area. Oct 25, 1888 Mexia,Texas) 184? in Wilcox Co, Alabama. They had 6 or 8 Children in the 1850 census Dallas Co,Ala. Court papers state James was killed by a neightbor's slave . The Neightbor had sent after James . Because he & James had a fuad going on. Nancy move from Dallas Co back to Wilcox Co,Ala. Her Son John Henry Clay GRIFFITH( b.abt 1850 Dallas Co,Ala. d. April 8 ,1942 Mexia, Limestone Co,Texas) .. was about 12 -15 at the time they lived there . Henry married there about 1875 . His wife died in child born (William)--- Henry,Nancy(his mother), & William(his son) moved to Limestone Co,Texas . He married in 1886 Freestone Co,Texas to Mary "Mollie" Fouty b.Dec 1866 Navarro/Freestone Co,Texas d . April 15., 1952 Mexia Limestone Co,Texas. Their are all buied in Mexia City Ceme.     3. I'll most likely in in trouble for this but someone had to say something as Sandra as scared off to many people. Some have emailed me crying about the way Sandra has talk to them in the pass. And too I thought that at Ancestry .com where the ADD - Postems, that it was to and things or to ask the person things about what was put there. I'm not right about a lot of the items I've put there and people do email me about it. But I surely would never think I was ALWAYS RIGHT.
