I've "rescued" an old photograph of Amanda PAINTER which was taken at the Tracy Studio in Pana, Illinois. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Amanda appearing to be in her 40's at the time. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Amanda and her family: Amanda Mary ESKRIDGE b. April 1842 in DE to parents Oakley Thomas ESKRIDGE (b. 12 Jul 1807 in Laurel, DE) and Mary Elizabeth GRIFFIN (b. 20 May 1817). Amanda married Henry PAINTER (b. Mar 1845 in IN) in 1870 and it appears that the couple had no children. Census records provide the following information: 1880 census of Effingham, IL: H. C.
