My dad always said that there were three brothers who came from Ireland and then settled in three different states, Alabama,Mississippi and South Carolina. John would be the Mississippi, Henry would be the South Carolina, and someone else would be the Alabama? Henry Kennedy, Nancy Kennedy's dad,is my 6th great grandfather on one side. John Kennedy is grandfather to Nancy Wheat(married Henry Kennedy, b.1806 in Mississippi Territory - Alabama). So John Kennedy is one of my many greatgrandfathers also.
