He was a butcher by trade, arrested in 1832 as a pick-pocket, and sentenced to transportation to Sydney, Australia on 27 April 1832. Sailed from Cork Harbour on the "Roslyn Castle" on October 1832, arriving Sydney Cove on 5 February 1833. I am seeking info on his origins in County Cork.
