    3. No, Steve, I don't know where my Griffins emigrated from. I've read that the Griffin name is Welsh, but I haven't been able to go back any further than my great great great grandfather, William C. Griffin. He was born in North Carolina--I don't where in NC. My great great grandfather, Rufus Marion Griffin, was born in Cherokee Co., NC (this information came from my grandmother).
