NC fits into Bryant Griffin and Thomas Griffin & Nancy Stewart line. They left NC well before 1884 and as far as we know they never went back, to live. I have tried to tie this infamous General W Griffin into Thomas and Nancy's family but have found nothing that gives proof (other than the name game and family lore). I wish this dear General was the founder of Griffin GA, it would make life easier. But the founder of Griffin GA was a Col. Lewis Griffin. And if memeory does'nt fail me this Lewis Griffin left GA and moved to TX where he died (??). My line is Thomas (Jr) son of Thomas & Nancy Stewart Griffin. They settled in Henry Co AL in the 1840's.
