I do recall now that 3 sisters married 3 brothers. You know I recall your mother very well too...and our visits to your house. I'm 61 now....and if I'm correct didn't you have a sister who is closer to my age?? My database with all my info is in AR (put a home on that property after mom died in 2003). So I try to recall from my memory our common history. You know I was closer with my dad's family in AR, given our going there every year as I was growing up. But, I do recall visits to your home, and I think we had a visit from you Aunt (Annie), Aunt(s) and their families.s As you explained things it came back to me. You know as I got older I always wondered why no stories were ever passed down about their lives in England (Mary Ellen and Joseph), even if she had been disowned you would think we would have talked about them. Now I know why. I think the reality was very different than the stories we were told. You know they came from Sandbach, in Cheshire (they have shires like we have counties). I thought that they're going to Kansas (Sterling to be exact) after they came into Chicago might have been on a land grant that the railroad advertised over in other countries to help populate that area out west. Did you know that they bought land in AL and that during the depression my Grandmother Edith and Grandfather George went to farm it to make money and that's how mom ended up down there. That's where my mom met my dad....he was an officer out of Pensacola Air Base when she was teaching school in Foley. I've wanted to go back down there and find the house I grew up in the first 6 years of my life.
