Il.to Mary Carolyn Roberts in 1870.He died in 1881 or 1882.Can't find any early imformation for sure.I was told by a non family member his father was Jesse Griffin b. N.C. mother nancy Stipp Ohio. But Josiah James says his father was b. in Ky.In the 1850 Sangamon, Co. Il.census a son Josiah was listed but older than ours. There was also a Spencer Griffin b.Ky also he was single but he was a young man.Josiah's mother was supposed to be a Miami Indian unknown ,father also unknown on records passed to me from family.So i keep searching till i am sure i have the correct family for him. Family says Josiah was b. in AR.but the census on Josiah he says he was b.in IL.IRAD has nothing on him only his marriage license no imformation on the back.I let everyone die that could tell me where he is buried.
