I have as his father, Ephraim Griffen, Jr., who was born 13 Jun 1740, North Yarmouth, Cumberland, Maine. I have his surname spelled with an "en" on the end, not "in". But from his son Thomas S. Griffin/Griffen's information, his children were found with the spelling as "in" on the end. Do you have his father, Ephraim Griffen, Jr.'s death information? (He married Judith Blaisdell.) I also have a Henry Walter Griffin, born 4 Oct 1846, born Freeport, Cumberland, Maine. He was the son of Thomas S. Griffin and Lucy Ann Boynton; grandparents being Henry Griffen and Patience Sherman. I have a lot of information that was given to me of the Griffin/Griffen family. Some research was done by my aunt Jane Steed; and some information I found on rootsweb. If you have good references for your family of Griffin's and would like to compare it with what I have, I would appreciate it. I am hoping to make sure what information I have is accurate.
