My Griffin ancestors settled in Twiggs County, GA. The first one I'm sure of is William Griffin (gggrandfather), a Methodist minister. He had either an uncle or a brother named Lewis Lawrence Griffin who is traceable. The town of Griffin, GA was founded by Louis/Lewis. My great grandfather was named for him....Luther Lawrence Griffin. Luther Lawrence lived in Twiggs Cty, GA and raised his family there.
