    3. After doing some digging back to 2002 when this thread seems to have started, copied below is a post that may help clear up what and where this paper is. I would still like to see the entire paper. But this seems to go along with the book on the family of Thomas Griffin. I would need to check but I believe David Griffin also md. a Mullis (both were part of these same families) ~~~~~ The handwritten paper, which is titled "Griffin Genealogy" starts with Richard Griffin, who came to Virginia 1747. Neither paper seems to mention the indian school or the people you mentioned. Here is part of the first paper: "Griffin Genealogy" I. Richard Griffin, came to Virginia 1747. Here is a small part of "Griffins in South Georgia": "Griffin, James A majority of the Griffins of South Georgia trace their ancestry back to James and Sarah Lodge Griffin who came from the state of North Carolina sometime prior to the year 1814 and settled first in Montgomery County Georgia, later coming into Irwin County along with Thomas Bradford and other of that time." James fought in the Revolutionary War. The children of James and Sarah Lodge Griffin were Noah (1783-1859), Joshua, Thomas, Rhoda, Shadrick, Solomon and Elizabeth. ~~~~~ -- Best regards, mailto:PastTracker@windstream.net "Sound not heard is silence.
