His son Joseph Eugene was my grandfather's father (Samuel McClellan Griffin) My grandfather married Lily Verneal Holland. Their first son, Clifford Clay Griffin, is my dad. I am trying to find any Indian heritage. Family rumors suggest that there is some but I have not been able to find it. I'm going to keep searching and will be happy to send you any info that I find.
