How early are the earliest Wilshire records? We're still trying to find a homeland and parents for Edward Griffin of Flushing, now that we know he was definitely not related to the Pengruffwnd/Pengriffin family. This Edward is an extremely close DNA match to William Griffin, of Westchester and Delaware County, NY who was born in England about 1720. If we can find William's homeland and parents, we may be able to give the 6000 descendants of Edward some information on their heritage across the Atlantic and give William's descendants a clue as to how they fit in with Edward's family. Our Edward was born in 1602 and left London on 24 Oct 1635. This is a proven fact, I've seen the original manuscript written on parchment with lamb's blood at The National Archives in Kew, outside of London; it was an amazing thing and made possible because of Brian Swann of Camberley, Surrey. Thanks for any help you can offer. Theresa Griffin Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
