List members: This situation has led to a very good conversation 'thread'. It has helped me to see posting in a bit different light. I have Griffin ancestors on both my of my father's PATERNAL and MATERNAL ancestral lines -- so, I watch each post to the list, I have yet to see any of 'my' Griffin kin posted. Most were folks who lived, married, died and are buried in North Carolina. Anyone out there have Griffins from North Carolina around 1700's-1860's? Any help is greatly appreciated. Here are a few name as leads: ABERNATHY ancestors: Margaret Griffith/Griffin (10 sep 1854-12 sep 1945) - married: William Pinkney Abernethy. William Laney Griffin (5 dec 1831-3 sep 1916) - married: Talitha Jane Williams. HONEYCUTT ancestors: Orlando Griffith/Griffin (abt 1725-10 sep 1801) - married: Eliabeth Gaither. Ann "Nancy" Griffith/Griffin (1766-30 apr 1849) - married: Johann (John) Silbers/Silvers. -- Cathy Ann Abernathy weavercat@gmail.com http://griffensusa.wordpress.com http://generationsbeforeme.wordpress.com http://stringcat.wordpress.com http://silversgenes.wordpress.com ============================================== On Tue, Sep 8, 2009 at 1:46 PM, <GRYPHON54@aol.com> wrote: > All I can add is that all this talk has sure as heck created a ton of > spam.
