Cathy Abernathy, I don't know if my Griffins are any relation to yours, but your email perked my interest! My great great great grandfather was William Griffin, born ca 1813 in North Carolina. He married Telitha/Tabitha Wiggins. I know the birthdate of your William and my William is different and the last name of our Telitha's is different, the similarity was too much for me to dismiss. I've been told that my great great grandfather, Rufus Marion Griffin, was born in Cherokee County, NC. By at least 1860, the family had moved to Randolph Co., Alabama. What do you think?
