If you do have Native American bloodlines due to intermarriage between a GRIFFIN woman and a Native American male, you need to use the Family Finder Test offered by FTDNA.com. Y-DNA only traces the Y DNA strand passed from father to son, it will not pick up anything from mother to son. Again, if there was an adoption or if a GRIFFIN woman married a Native American man and kept her married name (and so the children were also GRIFFINS) then the male Griffin can show Native American DNA. We do have a rate with Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) for anyone named Griffin. If you need help getting a test, you can either go to our Surname site (it's worth going to anyway, you may find relatives there) or contact me for help. http://www.griffith.dna.rdgriffith.com/ Theresa Griffin Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
