Heritage Quest is one and I believe it's also available from the Brigham Young Digital Collection. Don't forget to always try (no www) books.google.com before you order anything. Many out of copyright books are digitzed here and are free to download as well. BTW Jusuts' book is very helpful and well researched, but contains errors as he relied upon interviews with elderly relatives. I know that the Griffin group in Smithville has been working on an update to this book for some time. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Joe Ann, Are you referring to William T., son of Rufus Marion Griffin? Or did you mean that one of Rufus Marion's children married William T.? Do you know anything more about this? How are you related? Rufus Marion Griffin was my great great grandfather. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: mlund Surnames: Lund Griffin Craig Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.griffin/479.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I suspect this information came from data I posted some years ago: I have much more accurate data now. Frances "Fanny" Lund was born near Sackville, New Brunswick: her parents George and Jane Lund were from Yorkshire. She did not marry a Grffin, her older sister Ann did: she married Jairus Hartwell "James" Griffin of Calais Maine. He was apparently part black. They had 4 children: the youngest George "Sanford" Parker Griffin is the only family member we know to have lived in Sackville, where he did marry Rose Ann Craig. They lived near his aunt Fanny in Upper Sackville. Little is known about the rest of the family: there is some evidence that they moved to Massachusetts. My great great great grandfather was William Griffin, born ca 1813 in North Carolina. He married Telitha/Tabitha Wiggins. Diane Hi Diane, thought I would add my Nash County, N.C. Griffin here. My grandfather was William Dewitt Griffin 1850-1923 son of Peggy and Nathan Griffin, married Julia Frances Stone died 1925, daughter of Elias Stone. Joyce.
There has been some talk, if I remember correctly that William Thomas married his first cousin whose dad was Rufus Griffin. I don't have any proof of this.
