My Griffin ancestors settled in Twiggs County, GA. The first one I'm sure of is William Griffin (gggrandfather), a Methodist minister. He had either an uncle or a brother named Lewis Lawrence Griffin who is traceable. The town of Griffin, GA was founded by Louis/Lewis. My great grandfather was named for him....Luther Lawrence Griffin. Luther Lawrence lived in Twiggs Cty, GA and raised his family there. Does anyone know anything about my great aunt Pauline GRIFFIN (BUCHANAN) and her husband Geter BUCHANAN? Pauline was one of the daughters of my great grandparents, Lee GRIFFIN and Minerva Jane ALDRIDGE (GRIFFIN). I believe Pauline was b around 1912 in the Hughes community of Mitchell (now Avery) County in Western NC. I have been told that she died in childbirth in 1938.
