    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: juway1947 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.griffin/6474/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Does anyone have information on Martha Griffin from Tennessee who married Ezra Rundell in Port Gibson, Miss. in 1818. Martha's sister Nancy married John Rundell in Port Gibson, Miss. also. I suspect they were two sisters marrying two brothers. I do not have any previous information on her, like her father and what County they were from in Tennessee? I known Ezra and Martha later moved to Louisiana and their male children were Alfred, George W. and Ezra P. They moved from Mississippi to Louisiana in Madison parish then Franklin Parish, as verified by Census records. They were Plantation owners. 3. Hi guys, Greg I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I have been sick for a couple of weeks with the sinus infection and bronchitis, hope this week is better. Anyway, I thought you both might enjoy reading the online edition of the Cedar County Republican, some local news, I really enjoy the comments people make about some of the stories. And of course, I always read the obits. Just talked to Charles and told him about Johnny Sharp passing. You might want to read his obit. as it is in this week's edition. http://www.cedarrepublican.com/ Love to all, K

Eliza Knowles married Alfred Griffin in 1867. On Dec. 9, 1877, in North Bradley, Albert's son was baptised, and Eliza son was also baptised on that same day. According to census info his father was born in England and his mother in Va. In about 1812 the family moved to Hickman Co.,TN. It is possible that his mother was widowed at the time of the move. They lived in TN until about 1825 when David and perhaps his mother moved on to Gallatin Co., IL. In about 1833 David moved on to Cass Co.,IL where he met and married Sarah Cole in 1847. I have information on his life from that point on to his death in Iowa in 1905 at the home of one of his daughters. I am hoping a fellow Griffin researcher might know something. David may have had some brothers who also moved to IL. The family story is that our Griffin line is the same as Lewis L. 3. I am looking for information about a David Griffin. Mine was born in 1832 or 1833 in Conecuh Co., Alabama. He died in Arkadelphia, Clark Co, Arkansas on Nov 19, 1862 in the Civil War (confederate). I would love to know his place of burial and also the names of his parents. I THINK his father was James M. Griffin or James N. Griffin ( wife Nancy) who was in the same area in the Lafayette Co. Arkansas 1860 census and the Caddo Parish census in 1850. Would love verification.
