Posted on: Griest-Greist Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/surnames/gri/Griest/112 Surname: Cook, Brown, Townsend, Cutler, Henderson, Kirk, Wickersham ------------------------- I have several "Browns" who married into the Cook family, however I don't know if these "Browns" were from the same family or even connected, they are: 1. Jacob Brown (no dates), son of William & Phebe Brown, m. Nov. 25, 1772, Londongrove MH, Chester Co., Elizabeth Cook, dau. of John Cook, Jr. & Rebecca Kirk, b. Dec. 27, 1754. 2. Joseph Brown (dates and parent's unk.), m. 1809, Warren Co., Ohio, Dinah Cook, dau. of Amos Cook & Elizabeth Townsend, b. Feb. 6, 1783. 3. Joseph Brown (dates and parent's unk.), m. June 11, 1833, Ellwood MH, Vermilion Co., Ill., Mary Cook, dau. of Thomas Cook & Keziah Henderson, b. Oct. 11, 1810. Mary's sister, Elizabeth, b. Oct. 11, 1812, according to my records, also married a Joseph Brown, not sure if Mary and Elizabeth may be the same person. 4. Joshua Brown (dates and parent's unk.), m. Julia Anna Cook, dau. of William Cook & Susanna Cutler, b. abt. 1821. 5. Mary Ann Brown (dates and parent's unk.), m. Nov. 5, 1846, prob. Indiana, Solomon Cook, son of Nathan Cook & Anna Wickersham, b. Aug. 20, 1821. These are a few of the "Brown's" I have, do any ring any bells?
