You can use the blue search bar on the query board : http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/surnames/gri/Griest - Put "Margaret GHRIEST" in the "Keyword" box, set the "Period" for "Several Eons" and click on "Global Search". That will bring up another page. This is to refine your search terms. Check out all boxes to see the different search patterns available Enter the spelling of GHRIEST in the surname bar, set it for "Board" in the appropriate box...those are the only two boxes you really need to change...and that should pull up EVERY query from every GenConnect board that has that name mentioned. The surname has been spelled: GREIST(E) - GRIEST - GHRIST - GRIST - now GHRIEST so far. My 2gr-grandmother's surname was spelled GRIST on her marriage cert. and the spelling of her branch of the family is GRIEST. It all depends on how much education the clerks (who recorded these things) had. My Original GRIESTE Patriarch came from Wales with 10 sons, some of whom married Dutch women before leaving for America. So the Search can get a bit convoluted !
