Elizabeth ? b. 1867 d. 1941 (there was quite a difference in age between Edward and his wife according to my great aunt; Rozella GRIEST b. 7-4-1883 in Mount Rock, PA (possibly near Shippensburg) d. 10-21-1954 m. Enoch JACKSON 11-30-1907 in Wabash Co., IN; Charles GRIEST; Goldie GRIEST m. Henry Wolfe and lived in Askov, Pine Co., MN. George, his wife, Martha, and all their children except Goldie are buried at Fairview Cemetery, N. Manchester, Chester Twp., Wabash Co., IN. The family traveled from PA to IN in 1880. George was a member of the Dunkard Church near Servia, IN. There were also other Griests in N. Manchester that George visited and there is or was a street named Griest in the city of N. Manchester. Always exciting to see a new surname list relating to one of my lines! I have one Griest ancestor, currently an orphan.... would certainly like to find a family for her. Mary Magdalena GRIEST. I have no birth or death dates for her. She married John George ENSMINGER, 24 June 1765, according to Raymond Martin Bell, "The Ensminger Family of Pennsylvania," rev. 1971. John George Ensminger was born 1743/44, PA, and died in York County, PA, 17 February 1815. I suspect the marriage was in York Co., as his parents lived there, in Newberry township, and as Paul Roth reports that his Griest ancestors were in York County at the right time......
