    1. [GREEN-UK] Children of Foster Green
    2. Rachel Poloni
    3. I am trying to put together the family tree for the Green's of Nottingham/Derby (formerly Newcastle). I am looking for children of Foster Green who died in the early 1930's. So far I have George Reginald b. 1914, Ralph Valmour b. 1917 and Gerald Foster b. 1921. Recently I have discovered Jacqueline Green born 1926 Derby who moved to Surrey and married Arthur Smith now diseased. I am looking for descendants of Jacqueline and if she is still living. I believe she may have had a daughter Janice Elizabeth who married Alan G Poulton. I will be grateful for any help tracing Fosters descendants.

    3. Dear Lister, This is a complete longshot - but I am hoping someone out there might be able to help? I have come across an old Army regimental photo in some family 'junk' but cannot see any obvious link to my family. To try to unearth a link but also out of interest I am trying to trace some of the soldiers named on the photo. The photo was taken of the '18 Medium Regiment of the Royal Artillery' in 1953. Possibly at the barrack HQ in Larkhill, Wiltshire, UK. In it there is an L. W. GREEN - does anyone know anything about him? Many thanks Mark

    3. I"m looking for my GREEN great great grandparents. They were John GREEN possibly born in Ireland around 1843, and Julia CORNER possibly the same. Also I'm looking for their parents - for John an Edward and Maria GREEN born Ireland, and for Julia, a John and Carole CORNER also born in Ireland. John and Julia GREEN had three daughters, Mary Ann in Gibraltar (my great grandmother), Jane also in Gibraltar and Charlotte in Alderney, Channel Islands. I'm not sure where to go from here, as I haven't been able to find a marriage for John and Julia, and looking for Greens in Ireland would be like looking for a needle in a haystack I would think. I really need to find births for John and Julia and their marriage. The details I have came from St Mary the Crowned Parish records (baptisms) in Gibraltar, and Army Records from the GRO. Please contact me on moreta.christine@gmail.com if you have any leads or advice for me. Christine

    3. Would be grateful for any information on Sarah Green, married 11 Sep 1757, Stoke Lane or Stoke St Michael. In the dark at nonce concerning her parentage and baptism. Furthermore, I believe Chas Green, age 65, 1841 Ashwick, may be related to Sarah: He may have married Selena about 1805 in Bradford, WIL. Thanks. RayChard@xplornet.com

    3. Hi Just wondering if anyone else has any links to my Greens My Gt Gran is Annie Green b1870-74, she has a brother called John Sherman Green (and a father), does anyone else have these names amongst their Greens. Annie I think may have been born in Warwickshire, but she has been a bit of a devil to track down so I am trying a different tack and am trying to find her through her brother who was born in Derbyshire. It does give on the 1911 census that she was born in Derbyshire too but on previous census it gives Warwickshire. Also on 1911 John and Annie were sharing a house with their spouses and their families in Southend on Sea, Essex Thanks Lynn

    3. Hi, We are finding it difficult to trace our Green family ancestors. Our Great Grandmother Elizabeth Green b. Oct 24 1875 Evesham was married 1897 to George Grove b. March 7 1871. Elizabeth's father was Charles Green but we don't know his birthplace and there is more than one Charles with a daughter Elizabeth in census data. If anyone has any clues, greatly appreciated.

    3. Question 1 Re- Arthur C. Green age 17 in 1881 census at Warwick St. Mary, Warickshire, an articled pupil to mechanical engineer. His mother is Elizabeth. can you tell me his father's name? Does the C stand for Clark? Question 2 Arthur Clark Green married Jeanie Riddell or Glen-Riddell in 1914 in Montgomery North Wales. His father is named as John Green a Diplomat, deceased in 1914. Both parties of full age but age not stipulated. Can any one tell me anything of his family or their life. At marriage Arthur was a Railway Director. Family story is that he was also a Diplomat, perhaps in Bucharest. Any other suggestions for the Arthur Clark Green I seek would be most welcome. I have tried to post to this list often but failed to make contact so if this is a duplicate I give my appologies. Hopefully, Tina

    3. Hi all I am a new lister and come from Essex, I have recently found that one of my Tracey family married into the Green family of Colchester, Essex. Her name was Sarah Ann Tracey ( born 1873 in Colchester)and she married Charles Green on December 9th 1893 in Colchester, Essex. He was born circa 1871 in we think Stratford upon Avon his father was William Green who in 1893 was basically retired. Charles was a tailor and Sarah was a tailoress working in St Isaacs walk, Colchester. Do they feature in anyones tree?
