Ken, I am not related to your line, and have only compiled information about them, so you will need to confirm the accuracy of my information, but I show the parents of the Benjamin Greene who married Freelove Tillinghast to have been Rev. Nathanael Greene and one of his three wives, Phebe Greene. He was the father of Gen. Nathanael Greene. I show the parents of Freelove Tillinghast to have been Joseph Tillinghast and his wife Freelove Stafford. The John Green and his wife Mary Allen you mention are not show as the parents of this Benjamin Greene, and this John Green is show as the son of James Green and his wife Elizabeth Anthony. This James Greene is shown as the son of Surgeon John Greene. These lines have been well researched many years ago, and you can located much data on the internet or from book written some time back. I descend from a William Green born February 6, 1762 in Prince Edward County, Virginia, who married Keziah Stroud in Hillsborough, Orange County, North Carolina January 9, 1781, and we have attempted to connect them to the Rhode Island Greene's for many years, but to no avail.
