    3. Hi! I just recently returned from a trip to Kentucky (Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Greenup, Johnson, Lawrence and Morgan counties) to visit family. While there, with help from Ted Walter, I was able to locate the "James Green Cemetery" and the "Jiles Green Cemetery"in Johnson County. Helen Tackett of Kingsville, Ohio accompanied us. With the help of cousins Ralph Smith Jr., Irene Green Nelson, email correspondent Gail Blevins, and the gentlemen sitting on the porch of a country store (used to be "Gump's", not sure of name of store now.), I was also able to find and visit the "Thomas Green Cemetery" and the "Harman Green Cemetery" in Lawrence County. The "Jiles Green Cemetery" is in poor shape with all the stones either missing, or fallen and broken. It did contain the fallen, broken stone of "Jiles Green" and the fallen, unbroken stone of "Nancy the wife of Jiles Green, born June 18, 179_, died Jan 18, 1845" as indicated by Ted and his mother Thelma Chandler Walter in 1996. This gravestone inscription, along with the death certificates of five of their children has caused me to doubt that the first wife of Jiles (Giles) Green was named "Catherine Katie" Chandler. Instead, the records indicate that her name was "NANCY CHANDLER". If you have questions or would like more data on any of this, please write to me. Frankie Perry
