    3. List members, Since there has been all this interest in the Green list, I would invite male Green(e)s to participate in the YDNA Green project in connection with Family Tree DNA. I case you are not familiar with this project, we are trying to match YDNA with other Green males to determine kinship. Since the YDNA is passed down from father to son without change, you can establish a long line of kinship. One of the side benefits is that you are able to determine your haplogroup or deep roots. You can determine your ethnic roots back many generations. Greens are mostly from the British Isles, therefore they tend to be either Norse, Celtic, or Anglo-Saxon. There are other groups such as middle eastern origin. This group came from the middle east about 10,000 years ago to Europe and brought farming and agriculture to Europe. We need more Green males in the data base, so if you are interested go to the web address below: http://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.asp?code=H10429&special=True We get a reduced price from Family Tree DNA. The test is a swab of the inside of the cheek, no blood drawn! Mike Greene Florida PS: My earliest know Green ancestor is Malichi Green of Martin County NC, b 1790 in NC and died in 1878 in Martin Co. NC. His father may have been Abraham Green of NC b. in Va.
