Hi, I'm still looking for info on my great great grandfather, John Layton Green, son of William and Minerva McCumber Green. John was born 23Jul1827 in Royalton, Niagara County, NY and married Electa Flora Simons 8Dec1845 in Royalton. Their children were: Henry, Sofia, Cecelia (my great grandmother), Adah, Frank and Clara. Some info says they went to Iowa where John left her. Electa married George Hedglin 28Feb1869. Does this mean John died or were they divorced? I can't find any info. I don't know where or when John died. Any help will be much appreciated. I'm willing to share any documents and pictures that I have.
