This Rensselaer County is most likely the one in New York between Albany and the VT/MA state line. Quite a number of my Green(e) ancestors settled in Berlin (Hoosick), Rensselaer County, NY or passed through on their migration from Rhode Island to Oswego County, New York. Just for fun I once checked the phone listings for Berlin and found a large number of Green(e)s still living there.
