Hi Marilyn, From my research, Gen. Nathanael Greene had three daughters, (1)Martha Washington Greene who married John C. Nightengale, and Dr. Henry E. Turner; (2)Cornelia Lott Green who married Payton Skipworth, and (3)Louisa Catharine Greene who married James Shaw. Hope this helps. Tom Green MHersey@aol.com wrote: Does anyone know if Gen. Tom and others, While researching at the Laurens County SC library I made a copy of an article about Gen Nathaniel Greene. My handwritten scribble says Sept 5, 1973, page WW Wild 1775. I just wanted to make sure you knew this, I'll retype a little bit. I think in 1973 a man named Mr. Ezell did on slide show on this. "Gen Nathaniel Greene brought his Army Regulators militia and backwoodsmen to Star Fort on May 22, 1781 in an attempt to force the British soldiers and Tories from the fort"... Gen. Greene had 1. Regular troops from Connecticut and PA, 2. Militia from NC , SC , VA 3. The frontiers. ...Patriots had the Tories who were led by Joseph Robinson and Lauren County's own Patrick Cunningham...This information and more was discovered by the university who uncovered his grave... Does this interest anyone? Tammy Lynn Collard
