Marilyn......... Abigail wasn't the daughter of Nathaniel Greene, the general. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Greene, the son of James Greene and Rebecca Cahoon - all from the John of Quidnessett line of Greenes. The general was from the John the Surgeon line of Greenes. Abigail was the cousin of Job Greene, son of Charles, grandson of James and Rebecca Cahoon Greene. Job is believed to be our ancestor. Abigail and Jonathan Briggs' son Giles Briggs was often living near our Greenes, and Giles married Catherine Putman, the sister of my gr gr gr grandmother Mercy Putman Greene. Hope this helps!
