Since this list has become so active lately, maybe someone can send me in a direction of success on this brickwall. My GG-grandmother was Penelope Green b January 6, 1857 in Florida. I have scant information other than that. I think it was either Leon or Hamilton County in Florida. Census records show that she was from Florida. She married John Giddings Bell of Tallahassee, Leon Co., Florida b May 2, 1820. (I have information that he was adopted by Thomas Bell & Abigail Grimes). They both lived in Bellville, Austin Co.,TX Penelope died in Bellville, on December 21, 1902. Does anyone have information on who her parents were and where in Florida she was born?
