In reading over my submission I discovered that I gave the wrong birthdate for Penelope Green --- it should be November 11, 1819. The birthdate I gave was for her adopted son John Giddings Bell. Hopefully this will open some doors. Census records show that she was from Florida. She married John Giddings Bell of Tallahassee, Leon Co., Florida b May 2, 1820. (I have information that he was adopted by Thomas Bell & Abigail Grimes). They both lived in Bellville, Austin Co.,TX Penelope died in Bellville, on December 21, 1902. Does anyone have information on who her parents were and where in Florida she was born? Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.
