Hi, Its been awhile since seeing anything posted on this Green line so I wondered if anybody has been working on it lately?This line is VERY confusing due to there being several different Lewis Green lines and I've seen them mixed up with each other. The last I saw was the Green DNA project website had shown that the Lewis Green/ Susannah Griggs line was not a match (they were once believed to be my Lewis Green's line) My Lewis Green is believed to have been born in Prince George Co,Va abt 1724 (some sources say 1710),He died in 1784 in Blue Spring Rd near Glascow,Ky. He married Elizabeth Sarah Lauderdale daughter of William Lauderdale. He was a private serving under Robert McKenzie in Tenn. He served in the French Indian War . Records show he was a vestryman in the church at Kilgore Station. his son Lewis Green,JR married Esther Kilgore, Nancy Green married Peter Hutchinson (this is my line),son James married Jane Porter he was killed by indians and Jane remarried Robin Kilgore. Thomas married Mildred Appling,Elizabeth married Moses Foley. Sound like we know alot on this Lewis Green but theres been so much confusion of data all these lines melt to gether! I DO know Lewis ,Jr and Esther Kilgore had a son named Burwell although I've seen other lines claim him too.Lewis,Sr's will named his daughter Sarah who married Josiah Payne, and his son in law Benjamin Nicholson who married daughter Jemima so in this will we know its the right Lewis Green but no evidence as of yet who his upline is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This line also includes the collateral lines of Sparks, Wells, Hutchinson,Kilgore, Porter, Walker,Hager among others. Thanks! Billie C.
