Does anyone know the 'key' to finding people in that area of eastern Tennessee that was originally North Carolina? I found some information on TNGenNet Inc about military land grants that were sold to speculators. Tennessee couldn't do much with that eastern land for a long time because North Carolina had given these grants of thousands of acres. Is there an expert out there?
