Hello all, It's been awhile since I sent a post to the Green list so I'm hoping some of the newer members will recongize my Green(e) line. Of course there isn't much to go on but here goes: My third great grandmother was Lucinda A. Greene and was born January 16, 1808 in Stephentown, Rens Co, NY (or that general area). She was the second wife (m: c1827) of Jonathan C Babcock (b:April 06, 1800 -- another brick wall) and by the 1840's the couple had moved west to settle in Henriette, Monroe Co., NY. The farm they ran until their deaths in 1858 was off John Street and is now part of the RIT campus. The family is buried in Riverview Cemetery, West Henriette, NY. Lucinda husband, Jonathan C. Babcock, is most likely the son of Amie Bly and Jonathan Babcock (son of Silas Babcock and Phoebe Wood). Jonathan first wife was an Ann Morey (or Moore).
