    2. In a message dated 98-10-12 08:34:17 EDT, you write: << In the material that I am going to send you (hope you haven't given up on me) There is a piece about Lewis Green and the bear story that Daniel Boone told and is quoted as it appears in the Draper Manuscripts. This Lewis Green is the father of Lewis Green Jr. m. Esther Kilgore. I will try to get that mailed to you this week. Carla >> Hi Carla, Are you saying that Lewis Green born about 1710 in Prince George County, Virginia, who married Elizabeth Lauderdale was the Lewis Green who was attacked, and all but killed by the Bear? Charles A. Baker sent me a copy of the Draper information that he has compiled, and I certainly appreciate his courtesy. I love the story, especially the part about the turkey feathers healing in Lewis Green's body and then being called a "Feathered Man." From the information in the Draper documents it appears that the creek where Daniel Boone's hunting cabin was located was just below Holman's Ford on the Yadkin River, and was named Lewis Fork, because of what happened to Lewis Green. Can you add to the story? Tom Green
