I have had no luck so I hope these lists will help. I appologize to those on all the lists this message was sent who are getting duplicate copies. George was 66yo on the 1850 Guilford Census. From what I can tell, his parents were in the area (whether Rowan or Orange half of Guilford I'm not sure). His "wife" in 1850 was Martha _?_ age 34 of Northampton Co., NC. I suspect this is a second marriage for him. His oldest child that I have record of to this marriage is Joseph Parsons b 1738 Guilford Co., moved to Randolph Co between 1865 and 1870; married Alvira Julian 1859. I have been unable to locate a will or deed or any other Guilford or Randolph Co records for my George. I tend to believe that he is the George Jr mentioned in the George Sr's will of 1833 Guilford Co. The wife was Ruth Green. There is yet a third George in Guilford that I have found whose will is dated 1843. I haven't found enough proof to determine their relations to each beyond any doubt. George and Martha were in the Southern Division/Sumner of Guilford Co. in 1850. I have yet to find them on 1860 census records and have gone through Guilford and Randolph counties, NC line by line. In 1870, Martha and Joseph are next door in Randolph Co. 1880, the first year they ask, Martha is listed as a Widow. If you have any Parsons who would have been in the Rowan/Orange/Guilford/Randolph area in the 1780's who could have been the parents of George b1784, please contact me. Thanks in advance.
