Looking for the parents of William D. Green born abt 1803 in NY. He married Anna Belden. He is listed on the 1850 census for Amity, Allegany county, NY with: Adelia age 25, Andrew age 16, Willard age 14, Lewis age 12, Algernon age 9 and Anna age 3. In 1860 he was still in Amity, most of the older children were gone, but there was a Catherine Cline age 72 living in the household, no place of birth given. Andrew, Willard, Lewis and Algernon all ended up in Big Rapids, Mecosta County, MI by the 1860s along with a sister, Amanda, who had married Alfred Mason of Chautauqua Co. NY....all were involved for a time in the timber industry. Andrew was living in Chautauqua Co. when he purchased his land in MI. He married Donna Harrison of Jamestown, Chautauqua Co. Does any of this ring any bells for anyone? I'm stuck trying to tie William in with any of the other Green(e) families in the area. Thanks, Sue Perrault
