I am new to this list and here is the GREEN I am searching info on. Wm GREEN b abt 1820, NY. IN 1846 he joined up with the volunteer's of Stevenson's Regiment to assist when the Bear Flag Rebellion started in CA. He is listed as born in NY with both parents born in Ireland. Wm spent the remainder of his life in the Sonoma area of CA where he was known as Capt. GREEN, raised a family and died in 1899. There is a lot printed on Wm in CA - my wish is to locate where in NY he came from and where in Ireland his parents emigrated from. This Wm is a GGF to my 87 yr old mother-in-law.
