So far as I know I am not related to this family but came across the information on a visit to the library at Goshen, NY. They had a file of correspondence and information about the family. I did not copy the entire file but only some information. The first settler in America of this family was Peter Grenaue who came here about 1700. He operated an ironworks at Sterling in the Ramapo Valley area and was visited there during the Rev War by Gen Washington. Peter Green Sr had three sons and two daughters but only the names of two of the sons have been preserved: 1. Peter Green (17__-1801). Married Hannah King and had a son, Jacob Green (1755-1850) who had descendants. 2. Daniel Green: a blacksmith at Ringold, NJ Sorry I did not copy more! Betty
