Abner Green, born January 21, 1762 in Williamsburg, Virginia was the son of Thomas Marston Green, Sr, born November 19, 1723 and his wife Martha Wills, born March 31, 1734 in Norwick, Virginia. It was in Springfield Plantation, the home of Thomas Marston Green, Jr. that Andrew Jackson married Racheal Donnelson in 1790 just north of Natchez, Mississippi. Col. Thomas Marston Green, Sr. reportedly preformed the marriage. He was the son of Thomas Green, born about 1665 and his wife Elizabeth Marston, born November 25, 1762, and this Thomas Green was the son of Thomas "Seagull" Green. I show that Abner Green married Mary Hitchins November 1, 1784 in James City County, Virginia, but I don't have anything on the Ann Hutchins you mention. Do you think Ann Hutchins was the mother of Mary Hutchins that married Abner Green? I would appreciate knowing more about this family, as I am corresponding with Abner La Salle, the current owner of Springfield Plantation and would like to learn as much as possible about this Green family.
