Several weeks ago, a member of this list quoted from a publication called "Climbing the Green Tree and Some Other Branches" by Watson Kirkconnell. It lists my line of Greens that moved to Canada in the 1790's. It also claims that Samuel Green(1671-1760) of northwest New Jersey is a son of John Green(1620-1708) of RI and grandson of John the Surgeon. This information does not agree with the descendent tree on Noel's Web Site. I'm a novice at genealogy and would like the opinions on this discepancy of anyone that is familiar with the publication and/or John (the Surgeon) Green. Thank you, Karen Howell
