To Tom Green, Ron Greene, John Hawkins and all knowing about descendants of John "Moccasin" Green. Tom, I noted a reply you wrote to Rosemary naming the children of John "Moccasin" Green 1. Nathan Green 2. James Green born about 1799. 3. Elijah Green, etc. etc. The object of my search is another Nathan Green, born 1822. One record I have says his parents are James Green and Jan ??? This Nathan Green, my gr grandfather, would be the right age to be a son of James Green, born about 1799. Since you didn't list a wife for the above James Green perhaps you don't know about his wife or children. Maybe someone else knows if James had a son Nathan. Nathan Green came to Indiana and married Charlotte Woolf Ely, having up to 16 children. The ones I have located are: Andrew M, born about 1859 William M, born about 1861 Elcanah, born about 1862 Elijah A, born February 06, 1863 Mary A, born about 1865 Armanda, born about 1866 Anna L, born July 04, 1867 Marion M, born November 28, 1868 John D, born July 4, 1869, my grandfather Viola F, born November 10, 1871 I know these are common names for the period but there is alot of duplication in these families, John, Nathan, Elijah, William, Thomas, etc. Would sure like to hear if anyone knows if James had a son namedNathan.
