Hi Dave, Thanks for your reply and I understand your position. I have stated before that, just because someone publishes a book, it doesn't make the contents factual. Granted, perhaps they have done the best they can; but, for anyone to say that a particular book is the ultimate authority is pure Hogwash. As you indicated, we are dealing with 200 year old records that are subject to interpretation. I had not run across that quote before on the John Greene in my original message and, during my time on this mailing list had not seen it discussed before.
